Product Description
Using the latest innovative design from Gingko to create a fascinating focal point for any stylish home or office, this beautiful rotating moon lamp will amaze your guests and provide an uplifting glow for any space.
The sphere, with its textured surface imitating that of the moon, slowly rotates in the space above your choice of wooden base: walnut or white ash. Using a powerful built-in magnet, the moon is suspended and floats in mid-air, creating a stunning and functional piece of design.
By gently touching the base, you can choose from three different light modes; warm yellow, cool white or warm white, something to suit every taste.
This unique lamp is eco-friendly, being made with completely safe and biodegradable PLA material and reclaimed wood. So for those of you that truly appreciate the world around us (and above us!) and wish to own something extraordinary, this is the perfect purchase.

Lovely product, generally cool art for the home. Strange lie about it having wireless charging—didn’t need that disappointment. Would have been better not advertised as such.
Gingko Design –
Hi Alex, many thanks for your review. We’re sorry about confused caused by the wireless charging information on the packaging box. It was meant to show that that the base can give wireless power to the moon when it’s levitating, but we realized that has caused some confusion to some clients. We have now updated it to wireless power transmission instead of wireless charging from our 2022 stock. Once again, we’re sorry about this confused caused.

Hi, managed to get it on first time! Yah! One question – as it needs to be kept plugged in, what happens in an event of a black out. Just worry as the globe will obviously fall off and break?
Gingko Design –
Hi, we are glad you are enjoying the moon lamp! The base of the Moon Lamp has a magnet installed therefore in case of a blackout the moon will fall back on the base. You don’t have to worry about the mon falling off at all.
Hope this helped.
Kind Regards,

Linda Hannah –
Hi, I love this but am wondering is there a way to switch it off without unplugging it? I have looked at the manual but couldn’t see anything.
Gingko Design –
Hi Linda,
Thank you for contacting us.
Our moon lamp requires the mains to be plugged in order to levitate and light. You can turn the light off by tapping the Power button on the base but you will have to unplug the lamp if you wish to switch it off completely.
Hope this helps and please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have further questions.
Kind Regards,
Gingko Design

I had stated earlier that the light went out when I was trying to set-up on base. It just lit up again. Not sure what happened, but all 3 levels are working. It’s a great piece of art.
Jeffery C Kraus –
The light went out as I was trying to balance the moon and now it just levitates, but is not illuminated. Is there a way to fix this? Have other customers experienced the same thing? When the magnetic field grabs the globe to the base it made the light flicker and now it doesn’t light. I only just received it in December and would like a replacement if it can’t be fixed. I’d give it 5 stars, but am waiting for a reply. Thank you, Jeff Kraus
Gingko Design –
Hi Jeffery,
Thank you for your message. When that happens, please just unplug it and leave it for 5 minutes or so, then try it again and it should work.
Best Regards

Got this for Christmas and I absolutely love it, so relaxing to watch and so realistic. Does it have a bulb of some type and can it be replaced?
Gingko Design –
Hi,
Thank you for your comment and we are glad you are enjoying our product. Unfortunately you can’t change the lightbulb on our Moon Lamp however the LED lightbulb inside is designed to last 50,000 hours of usage.
Best Wishes, Gingko Design
Christine Gair –
I just received mine for Xmas, we love it, the box says it’s wireless, will it work if not plugged in all the time
Gingko Design –
Hi Christine,
Our Smart Moon Lamp requires the main to be plugged in order for it to levitate and light. Unfortunately, it will not work if the power is not connected to the base.
Best Wishes,
Gingko Design
Barry Pollock –
Great product & very relaxing to watch. Just wondering can you leave it on 24/7 either lit or unlit ? Is it safe to leave on 24/7 & does it use much electricity ?
Gingko Design –
Dear Barry, yes you can leave it on 24/7 lit or unlit and it’s safe to leave it on like that as well. According to our proper testing and based on the current UK electricity rate, it actually only cost less than 4p per day if you leave it on 24/7. We hope that helps and wish you a lovely Christmas.
Mike Brewi –
Hi I levitated the moon lamp but it stops rotating after 10 minutes or so, and no computers or other electronic items are near it. What kind of items around it might stop the rotation. Thanks.
Gingko Design –
Hi Mike, you may put the moon on a different table and see if that resolves the issue. If it stops rotating, you can also simply spin it and that may resolve the issue too.
New Zealand –
Absolutely love it. Got it as a birthday present.
I turn the lights off in the lounge at night and sit and watch it for hours.
2 ideas 1 make a matching wooden stand to sit on the base when the power is off so the moon does not have to sit to one side of the base and 2 have a switch on the side that turns the unit off fully so you don’t have to unplug it if it is plugged into a multi power adapter.
Michel Belair (verified owner) –
I really enjoy the moon lamp but the rotation speed is much too high. How can it be slow down to be ” just like the real elliptical orbiting moon ” …
Gingko Design –
Dear Michel, Where you placed the moon may affect the rotation speed because of other electrical or metal objects around, so we advise you to place it at a different table and see if that will make a difference. Alternatively, you can use your hand to slow down the speed if you feel it’s too fast. Hope that helps, Michel and please feel free to get in touch with us should you still have any queries at all.

looks rly nice, just wondering – I’m assuming I can’t keep it floating 24/7? (like when I’m not using it I can’t just turn off the light, I have to turn it off completely)
Gingko Design –
Hi Dave, thank you for your review. You can indeed keep it floating 24/7 while the light is switched off, as long as it’s plugged in. Hope that helps.
Cye (verified owner) –
This is indeed a great looking and interesting knick-knack. However, i am disappointed in that the rotation of the moon is either alternating between clockwise and anticlockwise or steadily clockwise (as viewed from above) which is not how it is supposed to be. I have tried to fix this by reversing the polarity at the plug, but this did not make a difference. Is US electricity different than the UK?
Gingko Design –
Hi Cye, thanks for your comments. When you first set up the moon, it may rotate between clockwise and anticlockwise for a few minutes that was because the moon will try to adjust the magnetic force when it’s first set up. But it will eventually stay at clockwise steadily as you mentioned. However, sometimes, other objects closed by the moon may also effect the rotate direction though. We hope that clarifies your concern.
